The International Study Association on Teachers and Teaching (ISATT) is an organization dedicated to supporting and disseminating past and present thinking about teachers and teaching in order to contribute to a better, brighter educational future. It is a wonderful, welcoming association that understands that as much as students are the future lifeblood of society, graduate students are the future lifeblood of academia. Therefore, it is a matter of great importance, and a priority for ISATT, that new scholars are encouraged to join and welcomed into the organization. As a scholastic family, ISATT is a wonderful opportunity to make initial and lasting international connections and opportunities for emerging scholars to build academic camaraderie. ISATT hosts an international conference every two years and welcomes the active participation of graduate students. The next ISATT conference will be held in Salamanca, Spain in July, 2017. Check the website for more details and start planning to attend! Be it for the academic conferencing, the chance to consider international perspectives on research and practice, or the chance to travel and live life learning, ISATT continues to offer something truly unique and wonderful to early and experienced scholars from all walks of life.
We therefore recommend all our longstanding, and any new members, to encourage their graduate students and colleagues to join ISATT. The special student rate of £50.00 for a two-year membership is available for graduate students.
